White Water Rafting!

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Before I begin, hi mom this is Leyla. So time in the Dominican has been so amazing so far! I’m speaking for myself, but I’m having a great time in my site. Today we went white water rafting in the rivers of Jarabacoa. It was honestly so fun and the guides were really helpful! (We were safe, for all of you parents wondering) it was a nice experience for all of us. Groups of 4 each got into a raft with a guide and we set off. Personally I have never done this before, so I had no idea what to expect. However, this experience did not fail to disappoint. We were blessed with a good guide who made us laugh along the way. Talking to other people it seems for the most part they really enjoyed themselves.

The fun continues: tonight we went out into the town. To make it easier we split up into smaller groups. Not much was open however, because today was a holiday, but it was still fun! I’m pretty sure all groups went to the smoothie place at one point. Let me tell you-those smoothies were AMAZING. We walked around for a bit and then went to dinner where we are very well. Lastly, to end the lovely night we had some amazing ice cream 🙂
