Philippians Ch. 1 Test Done!

Hey Everybody!

It’s beginning to feel a lot like winter time! The weather is cooling off and there is a great excitement running around the lodge. This last weekend almost half of the class got the weekend off so the lodge was very empty. Some guys even made a run down to Six Flags Magic Mountain! Honestly it’s kind of nice be getting back into the swing of things after Hartland.

The day we got back from Hartland was Halloween! We quickly put everything in our rooms and starting scrounging for things to use to dress up. At dinner we had a “fashion show” to show off our costumes. People got very creative, we had someone dressed up like a Carebear all the way to another dressed up as a pastor. Our winners were a Hobo and Kim Possible. Overall the night was a blast!

It hasn’t all been fun and games however as the first Philippians recite date is now behind us. Everyone worked very hard to get it done before the cut off and everyone passed which means NO BREAKFAST CLUB!

To start the week off strong some of us had a super fun elective called outdoor adventure. Its a very small class with only four of us in it which makes it all the more fun! Yesterday we had the opportunity to get out of the building and go for a little hike at Humes water source it was the highlight of the week.

We are back to having a guest speaker, Matt Berg, a former Joshua student and his wife Grace Berg who is also alumni from 2011-2012. He spoke about what it means to have a good foundation to build your life on and will be talking about living out one’s faith practically. Can’t wait for the next session.
