Kent Sparks and Pushups

Hello everybody, we are having a blast up here at Joshua. This is the part of the year when everything ramps up and everyone gets a little stressed. This is also the part of the year where everybody becomes comfortable. We have to come together and constantly encourage and push each other. We will all be great if we can do that. I just passed my Philippians test so now I have more time to help those who are working on it. Our speaker this week is Kent Sparks. He is teaching us how to have a more intimate loving relationship with God. He is passionate about physical health and about how important it is to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice. So passionate that he is having us do pushups before every meal. His devotion to the Lord is incredible and you can see that devotion throughout his whole life. I love his energy and enthusiasm. Besides all the stress, Joshua is going great.

Hey hey, everything’s a bit crazy right now. Just came off of working a three-day weekend camp. It changes all the schedules with most of us working an extra day on Monday. Thankfully, I ended up with an extra day to rest instead of an extra day to work, which was fantastic. Everyone is starting to talk about the upcoming LA trip that’s coming in just a couple of weeks. The gap between trips feels like it’s getting smaller and smaller as the year goes on.

Yo, this past week has been crazy long, with previews and then a four-day work weekend it was definitely a different kind of week. I got the opportunity to work in the dish room this weekend and I loved knowing that every dirty plate I washed was someone hearing the word of God this week at camp. God is good through everything and I am so grateful for this awesome community of brothers and sisters in Christ.
