Passion for People

Currently the weather down at Hume has been relatively dry! This past weekend we had rain and now most of the snow is now gone. It is really sad to see all the beautiful snow go but it does make getting down the hill when we are walking to work A LOT easier! This Monday our local Dungeons and Dragons man Chad decided to host a group for a bunch of guys including, Matt Wolff, Christian, Connor, and Ethan who have never played before! Dungeons and Dragons is a game created by your own imagination where you can create a world and be a part of a world similar to Lord of the Rings.

This Tuesday for Guys and Girls Night we combined to do one big group activity. We all split up into 6 groups and went down to Meadow Ranch. The Goal was to complete 6 different tasks which were riddles and puzzles and collect 6 letters for a word which we would have to make when we go back up to the building. We were told the first team to do this would win the prize. Then when all the teams eventually got back up to the building, we realized we had to combine all the letters to form a sentence telling us to work together. This was a great team exercise which helped us to work together as a class more!

This weekend I worked activities tube run and really enjoyed spending time with campers answering any questions they had about Joshua. On Sunday me and my friend grace went down the hill for fun and spent most of the time getting lost, losing her car, getting locked out of her car, and failed shopping attempts. But it was an overall great day to just get away from all the normal Hume business. This week we have the privilege of having Jess and Nick Connolly and they brought their kids with them so the Joshua house is full! So far Nick talked about having a passion for people which has been super insightful and has really taught me personally a lot about loving others the way God loves them. AND I CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT THE REST OF THE WEEK HAS IN STORE!
