Howdy!
It’s been yet another rollercoaster of a week up at the Joshua building. After working a couple of four-day winter camp weekends in a row, the return of our sabbath Monday morning was a much-needed refresher. We’ve been blessed by the presence of Dean and Nancie this week, and their constant care has been uplifting. On Tuesday, we found out our evangelism groups for our LA trip next week (shout out to Katie, Adari, and Peyton!!) and got to take some time to pray for our hearts and the hearts of the people we will encounter next week. Wednesday came with the heavy blow of the loss of another two of our JWI siblings, but God still remains good and sovereign. Though our hearts are weighed down with sorrow, we know that ultimately, His plan for them is best, and this is an excellent opportunity for us to exercise trust in His perfect ways and timing. The staff pulled off another fun theme dinner, and we all enjoyed the light-hearted evening of Disney-themed food and karaoke. As we head into our work weekend and the busy trip next week, a snippet from one of Erik Thoennes’s speaker sessions this week remains in my mind and is becoming my prayer that in my life, I would recognize that “God is most glorified when we are most satisfied in Him.”
That’s all for now,
