Hiii guys! It’s Mary again! Ahhhh one of the last times I will write the blog ALREADY 🙁
Wooowww…. how the 9 months are flying by!
Well, I wanted to tell you about this week in the building! So this week was a busy and eventful week! As the weeks are winding down and we are getting ready for graduation, we have a lot going on. I started out the week not feeling the best, so needing to take a morning to be with the Lord. It was relaxing, as I walked down to Wagon Train and I got to spend time with the Lord. He has been constantly reminding me of His faithfulness up here. Even as I feel cooped up and at my wits end, I know He is still near and He is still present in this building and at the place of Hume.
Continuing on this week, the girl community got to have a lot of conversations and just bond together. Some of the girls made PB cookies and we all ate and talked together. We then also had another girls meeting and just fellowshipped with one another. We shared our struggles and I think that brought us all closer. We have been able to be more intentional together and it’s super sweet to see.
As the week continued, we had Turkey Prep which was awesome! We are researching where we will be going and we got our backpacks for the trip! What a blessing. I also participated in a mud fight up in the mountains with some of my Joshua siblings and that was so fun. I got out of my comfort zone of being clean and just threw mud. It was such a sweet time with my siblings as we also continued on that night and went star gazing. Ending the week, we had theme dinner!! It was 50s Diner themed and we had such a blast! We were served by the staff and I got bottled root beer, a cheeseburger & fries, and an Oreo milkshake! Just like a cute little diner! We then cleaned up dinner and headed to the The Ark to skate which was so fun! I hadn’t skated for awhile and so it was a bit rocky. I fell which definitely hurt, but my Joshua siblings were so kind and very helpful to me so that made it more fun. I then ended the night back at the building doing a workout, building Legos together with some people, and talking on the phone with my mom!
Lastly, Friday, we had small groups which was super sweet. We also had Life Skills, where we learned again about Finance! I personally didn’t grow up knowing too much about finances so I’m thankful to the Lord for letting me be at Joshua, to learn these things.
That was my week! God bless 🙂
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
