Last Day in the D.R!

Heyyoooo!! Today was our last full day in the Dominican Republic. We spent it with our site leader, Carolina, and ended the day with a banquet and some dancing! Our final night was bittersweet as we said goodbye to the relationships we had built here. My time in the Dominican Republic has been challenging, revealing, and beautiful. Even as I write this, I feel the burden of illness.

The special thing about today for all the people on the medical team is that today we got to see a family that changed my perspective on family and the things that I take for granted in my life. It was so amazing how I realized that these families truly do live
