DR Day 2!

yo yo yo! This is Benjamin Jones writing to you from the tropics of the Dominican Republic! We are currently in the land of all things beisbol, rainy metal nights, and 3 am roosters. 1st Day in the DR!

What’s up Guys! We have made it safe to the Dominican Republic! Our first flight from LAX to JFK in New York went super smooth! It’s was about a 5 hour flight and we arrived at about 4:45 am and our second flight was at 7:15 am to the DR which was about a 3.5 hour flight. We made it to the Dominican Republic!

Everything with the trip went smoothly and we’re all here safe at the Student International base! The students today had some orientation, got to learn Dominican style of dancing, and play some Dominican games! Everyone’s going to bed early tonight to try and combat the jet lag. Getting Closer to the Dominican Republic!

This week is flying by! Today we had a meeting to discuss the Dominican Republic, which we leave for next Monday! Everyone seems to be getting more excited as the days get closer.  This past weekend I worked winter camp week #2 in concessions! It was my first time working concessions and I had a blast.
