Jim Cook and the Oscars

This week, we started the quilt for our class, we listened to Jim Cook speak, we finished Mere Christianity, and we had Oscars Night. But we’re also trying to bond as much as we can before we have to leave. It’s been a sweet time here and we can all thank Jesus for all He has done to create this flourishing community. Okay, so every year the class puts together a quilt. The students create

Back in the Building!

Joshua is back in the building! The students experienced a nice, restful week at home after a long trip in Israel. It was refreshing and re-energizing for most. Now, the students are back to finish up their time in the building. They’ve got a little more than one week left in the Joshua building! For the past couple of days, the students helped serve the residents of Hume Lake’s subdivision by raking the pine

Pray For Our Travels!

Tomorrow we leave for Israel! This whole week has been packing and preparing for what God is going to do, and what we are going to experience. Just to

Finished with Philippians!

This week our Joshua class has been preparing for our big Philippians test that was on Thursday. We recited our final chapter and took a test on the knowledge of Philippians. The test was a pretty confusing for all of us, but the staff was really gracious and humble about it and in the end, the majority of us passed!! All of us were pretty excited to be done with the stress of Philippians and

Spring Is Here!

This past week hasn’t been to eventful in the Joshua building. Students have fallen into a steady rhythm, since they’ve been in the building for a solid month. When they aren’t preoccupied with homework and Philippians, you can often find Joshua students hanging out in the catalyst room or playing boardgames. Recently, the students have gotten their backpacks, packing list, and room assignments for the upcoming Israel trip. All the students (and staff) are pretty
