Hartland Day 1 – Serving God and Serving Others

October 1, 2018 Hey guys this is your man Brenden, coming in hawt Writing on the blog for the first time.  Today we left for hartland! Unlike our last trip, we had some forewarning, a 7am wake up to an alarm versus a 5am wake up to a roaring conch, and the ability to let our parents know we were leaving.  Hartland is right over the ridge from Hume, so about an hour on the

Joshua Prom 1987

September 28, 2018 It’s prom night for the 1987 senior class of Gladstone High. There are many interesting personalities and outfits to go along with the night. The scene is set to a traditional 80’s school dance. Each clique is in their own inner circle, assuming their roles perfectly. A Starry Night!

September 13, 2018 The scene causes a warm smile to spread across my face each time I recall it.  Imagine running out to the lake in the middle of the night. Armed with lifejackets you aren’t going to wear, paddles that are probably going to get lost, and a bunch of college age kids surrounding you. You grab the huge metal boats lined up in a row along the shore, pull them into the water,

Move in Day!

September 11, 2018 The food has been totally awesome, and we have an amazing cook! Breakfast has been starting at 7 am but some people have been getting up at around 5 to go to the gym to work out. We start so early because the gym is at the bottom of the hill, so it takes about 15 minutes to walk down and about 20 minutes to walk up. Before breakfast we all line
