Another week in Joshua life

Grateful for Hartland!

Hartland has come to an end. On our final day we finished up our jobs, cleaned up the camp, and had an awesome pizza party. Our final memory at Hartland was a group picture in the steps of the dining hall. After that we all jumped into the vans and drove back to the Joshua building. Walking humbly

These last few days we spent volunteering our time to help maintain Hartland CHristian camps by doing odd jobs around the camp. The trail crew took their time hiking along the trials, raking all of them as they went. Their goal was to make the trail visible and pretty the sixth graders coming this week. The brush crew worked diligently as they cleared the debris. Other groups included wood-pit, who spent their time splitting logs.

Ventures into the rebellious forest

The Joshua Wilderness Institute is awesome. This week we are at Hartland, a camp similar to Hume but lower in elevation and smaller. What we are doing at Hartland is working and serving for the camp staff in any job they need done. It’s a great opportunity just to help out a fellow Christian camp. Adventures in Hartland!

Greetings from Hartland! Today at 11am we arrived after a 2 hour drive from Hume Lake to the beautiful campus called Hartland Christian Camps. We will be staying here through Thursday where we will be working on our serving skills such as splitting wood, sealing holes in beds to avoid bed bugs, making wood chips, clearing brush, kitchen duty, and other opportunities to serve.
