The last few days, the entire class of Joshua adventured out to a nearby camp called Wildwood. Wildwood is a small camp behind Hume lake where a small group of Christians go weekly to spend time alone with God. At Wildwood campers sleep in tents, learn community and how distractions can lead us away from spending time with God. The Joshua class took it one step further by taking away showers, mirrors and concept of
Wildwood 2017 was a success! We hiked the students into camp on Monday and taught them to “drop their facades” along the way. After some great evening worship, thanks to Jason King, the students learned the history of Hume from Bob Phillips. On Tuesday we had the students go through a few team exercises and then just had some relaxed hang out bonding time. Yesterday the students heard Brad Bell speak, had devotion time, and

Our Canadian student, Josiah, finally arrived yesterday at the building. Thank you so much for all of your prayers! We’re so excited to have him!
This week at Joshua we started our first class in the book of John. Our teacher, Brian, was very entertaining and made the introduction to the class fun. With one week in, we appreciated his video clips during class. We also had our first book discussion this week. We discussed Brad Bell’s Walking with a Limp. Along with starting the first academic parts of Joshua, we also attended a food safety class to prepare us
