Ancient to Living History

The day started off with an exalting devotional from Deacon on 1 Peter 5:1-9. At the thirteenth temple we have the perfect view of Acropolis (City atop the hill) where we were on yesterday adventures. We saw the dormitories where travelers slept, and explored the different ruins of Pergamum. Our class learned about the healing powers that water provided for everyone. The travelers would go to the temple of Asclepius and seek to be healed there.

Standing on those same ruins, Jen Smith gave a teaching about the healing powers of water. She spoke from John 5:1-29, of how we try to receive healing from everything but God. Ultimately God is our True healer.

A little after 11pm we went to see the culture of carpet weaving. Each piece made intricately and carefully showing the beauty of the Turkish culture woven in every individual rug.

Afterwards there was a delicious meal provided for us for lunch. We sat outside in breezy weather listening to the birds chirping,  and talking amongst ourselves. The last of our events this evening was a quick stop at Ege Lokum Factory Outlet. A small touristy shop that had amazing Turkish delights and other local specialties. Our next stop is at our last hotel!
