Hello friends and family! This past week things have started to slow down as we are reaching the end of Joshua. We finished up the rest of our classes and have all been working on homework trying to get it all in before the end of this week.
This week we have had Sean and Michelle up as our catalyst couple which is always fun. We all love having them up here whenever they can make it.
This week we were unable to have our speaker up here so that has also freed up our evenings. We did however have a prayer and worship night on Tuesday instead. We sang worship songs and went to every room of the Joshua building praying over different people and thanking God for the past nine months and all that He did in them. It was a very sweet time for all of us as we start saying goodbye to this season and place that we spent so long in.
On Wednesday we had the opportunity to join in on a Hume community fundraiser. We got to spend time with the community racing ducks, playing kickball, and having a good time.
This Thursday we had our pause thank you where we invited up all the “pause families” who have been so kind and hospitable, welcoming us into their homes every other Thursday. We made them dinner and planned a few fun games and events for us all to do together. It was a great way to wrap up and thank them for the blessing they have been to us these past nine months.
Overall this past week had been a sweet one. We have all been working past getting over jet lag and sickness from our travels and simultaneously trying to knock out the rest of our homework but even in that we have all been enjoying the community and friends we have here at Joshua and enjoying the time we all have left together.
As we begin to wrap up we are all a little anxious about the end and we know it will be hard to say goodbye to all of this but we can’t wait to see what God has in store for us after.
